Writing a future letter to myself every year
Just left myself another future letter, using futureme.org.
I've been using them for almost a decade and have witnessed their growth from a simple clunky form (which I don't have a screenshot of) to a full blown app with user and data management.
I tried to not create an account when they first introduced their login / register functionalities, but eventually I did, and I'm glad I did because I can track them in one place.
Reading the emails is like a time capsule. Sometimes I give goals to myself, sometimes I just write about my current status and what I'm feeling.

If you think my Morning Pages habit was a lot of work, doing 3 pages a day on a journal, then there's no excuse to miss this.
You just write a few words every 6 mos or 1 year, updating your future self where you are right now.
Just an idea you might find interesting and consider doing. :)
