Finding the Cheapest Car Rental in Jeju - All Car Rental Sites

Follow my search for a familiar driving experience while traveling in Jeju. See how I found a Kia Seltos SUV rental that matches my home vehicle.

I got a list from Reddit, and this list from Google, and checked all the dates. I'm looking for a car similar to what I'm driving back at home - and that's an MPV or an SUV.

I feel like I'm too short to drive a sedan car, so I'm looking to get a Kia Seltos.

From March 20, 12 nn to March 24, 8pm - roughly 5 days. I checked 2 days before. The rates could be much cheaper if you check earlier.

  1. Jeju Tamra - 254,400 krw with insurance
  2. Lotte Car Rental - 226,200 krw but sold out (make sure to register for a significant 30-40% off)
  3. Jeju One Car - no Seltos but Sportage starts at 322,000 krw
  4. Angel Car - 267,300 krw
  5. Trip.com (via Angel Car, but cheaper) - 226,540 krw (289,490 krw with insurance)
  6. Klook - 260,500 krw
  7. Kayak - no Seltos, but SUV starts at $194
  8. Booking - $288

Which one did I get?

Trip is the cheapest but I got scared with the reviews. Since Trip, Klook, Booking are 3rd party websites, I read that there's a possibility that the reservation didn't went through and it's problematic to request for refunds through their platforms.

So I went straight to the source and went through Tamra. Tamra's parking lot is walkable from the airport (unlike the others that requires you to ride a shuttle). But I came from the city, so I rode the bus and the bus stop is also only a crossroad away.

It was very convenient to rent it. After booking online, I went to their office and presented my Passport, IDP and credit card, and got the car 10 minutes later!

Days before I was able to find 10 days rental for a Kia Morning (smallest car) for 250k krw at Trip.com, which makes my savings 50%. I would have risked it and tried Trip.com by then. But for now since the difference is not that huge, I just went straight to Tamra.
